We have been spending a lot of time in the pool.  That's what you do in the summer in the desert.

A few goodies from our garden

How Does Your Garden Grow

Last weekend we planted a small garden on the side of our house.  Our new little resident gardener, aka Chatty, loved helping us plant it.  We planted tomatoes, cilantro, cucumbers, basil and jalapeno peppers.  We make a lot of homeade salsa and thought we might as well plant some of the ingredients we use!  If it grows well we are going to add a second one in the fall.

Sunday night I painted the girls' toenails.  Bia had never had hers painted before and was so excited.  She did so well sitting still and letting them dry (note - that is a shadow in the lower left corner of the picture below - not a spot on my carpet!).
