Weekend Full of Celebrating!

Chatty turns 7 today, so in honor of this momentous occasion we celebrated all weekend.

Saturday - ribs for dinner followed by cupcakes (per Chatty's request) and then a visit to Dave and Buster's (think over sized arcade with restaurant and bar) with our favorite neighbors.

Sunday - Cupcakes for Chatty's Sunday school class and then lunch at Oregano's with Nana and Poppa where she received her I-POD Touch from Grandma/Grandpa, Nana/Poppa and Mom/Dad. She is obsessed with it!

Monday - School - I took the day off to volunteer in her class and am bringing in a treat.  After school the girls have their well checks at Dr. K's office and then sub sandwiches for dinner (per Chatty).  Afterwards we'll be celebrating with her Peeps birthday cake!

All I Want for Christmas ...

Is Chatty's two front teeth!  Chatty had two very loose front teeth.  Being the nice mom I am, I pulled one of them out - trust me when I say it didn't take a whole lot of effort - it was that loose (plus the dentist said it was time to come out).  Later in the day she was swimming in the pool with our neighbor.  Apparently as they were playing (her dad was supervising) our neighbor accidentally kicked her and in the process her other tooth fell out!  Which is a good thing because I didn't want to have to pull it too!

Birthday Party

Below are some pictures from the girls' joint birthday party.  This year we had it at our local train park.  They have a great deal (very reasonably priced) where you have a train car for 1.5 hours and during that time the staff plays outdoor games with the kids, feeds them cake and ice cream, takes them for a ride on the train and for a ride on the carousel.  All of the kids seemed to really enjoy themselves.

Kindergarten Fun Day

On Friday Chatty had Kindergarten Fun Day aka Field Day.  They have several different events, all of which Chatty loved.  It was perfect Spring weather in the desert.

An interesting note - the boy in the bottom corner of the last picture told me that Chatty likes to chase him on the playground and give him hugs!  Not sure what that was all about.  At first Chatty denied it when I asked her about it, but she did finally admit it!  Not looking forward to those teenage years!

Thursday Night

So when I went to check on Bia tonight I found her like this. Please note - I did tuck her in with her head on her puppy bone pillow and she opted to move ... I did uncover her head so she and her animals could breathe!

Because I took Bia's picture, Chatty insisted I take hers too (yes everything has to be equal). This is her victory smile because our GO Cats won tonight. She watched them on the computer while we listened (and she chatted) to them on the radio - they weren't televised tonight.

An Evening Out

D and I went to a party on Saturday night and left the girls with a sitter. When we came home, this is where we found them - our bed. Notice all of the stuffed animals? The girls tend to be hoarders when it comes to sleeping with stuffed animals. Please note the following photos were taken within 5 minutes and depict the events that occurred as we woke them up to move them to their beds....

Needless to say Bia was not happy about moving to her bed!

A Little Change

I decided to change up the look of the blog with some new pictures and some new nicknames for the girls. As most of you know LAD is quite the talker, hence her nickname Chatty Cathy. SLD has been called Bia (Sophia Bia) since she was a baby so that's how we (I) came up with Sweet Bia. Don't let the name fool you, she is anything but sweet if she wants something and you won't give it to her!

Hope you are all having a good week. I think we are finally back into our routine after the holidays and the trip to Tampa. Next big event is a trip to Vegas (girls only - no kids!) for my Aunt Susan's big birthday bash next month! My friend Amy is going with me (it is her birthday too)! It should be lots of fun.

Chatty (aka LAD) starts the new season of soccer this Saturday. I am not looking forward to it as much as past seasons as most of our core team has left. She and a few other girls are the oldest on the team and will most likely dominate (as they did last season). We plan on switching to a different league next fall. We are even thinking we may switch sports .. not sure. I will try to post some pics this weekend or early next week! TGIF tomorrow! Gotta run - college football BCS title game on tv right now!
