Happy Easter

He is Risen - He is Risen Indeed!
We hope you all had a great Easter. We had a nice one, although I wasn't sure the Easter Bunny was going to show up at our house. Some children were not that well behaved this weekend! We had a busy week.  It included decorating for Easter, dying eggs and getting haircuts.

It also included Easter dresses, church, pictures and lunch at Nana and Poppa's house.

Goodies from the Easter Bunny - yes he did pay a visit!

Weekend Full of Celebrating!

Chatty turns 7 today, so in honor of this momentous occasion we celebrated all weekend.

Saturday - ribs for dinner followed by cupcakes (per Chatty's request) and then a visit to Dave and Buster's (think over sized arcade with restaurant and bar) with our favorite neighbors.

Birthday Pizzookie!

Monday - School - I took the day off to volunteer in her class and am bringing in a treat.  After school the girls have their well checks at Dr. K's office and then sub sandwiches for dinner (per Chatty).  Afterwards we'll be celebrating with her Peeps birthday cake!

Opening presents with crazy bed hair!

Catch Up Part Two - Disneyland

Part Two - Disneyland.  The kids were super excited to meet up with their cousins from Oklahoma (my cousin Jann and her family).  Chatty and her son Connor hit it off right away.  They loved hanging out with each other and riding rides together.  The was the first evening at the park.  They had only met a couple hours earlier.

Bia wanted to wear her Tinkerbell costume our first full day at the park.  You would have thought she would be all excited ... but most of the day she asked if we could go back to the hotel.  Can you see the excitement in her face?

As I mentioned above this excitement continued for quite a while ... more evidence below at the Princess stage

She did enjoy a few rides and smiled some.  That night we all had dinner in our hotel room and the kids started to watch a movie ... this is how we found them!  That's what all day at Disneyland will do to you.

Our last full day we headed to California Adventure for a few hours ... notice Bia's excitement here again

Chatty was excited to meet Buzz Light Year ... unfortunately our only picture with a character.  The lines were so long for everyone else!

All in all a fun trip with our cousins and our neighbors but D and I were glad to get home!  Taking kids to Disneyland is a lot of work!

Catch Up Part One - Bia Turns Four

I know I have been MIA for awhile now - life has been super busy.  Lots of work travel - birthdays - trips, etc.  So this is Part I of my blogging catch up - Bia's 4th Birthday.

Opening presents and cards from friends and family

We met Nana and Poppa for lunch at our favorite place - Oregano's ... it was actually D's birthday so we celebrated his and Bia's birthdays.

We were all decked out in our U of A gear for the big game that afternoon

Stay tuned ... next up - pictures from our trip to Disneyland!
